A retired police driver who killed four of his passengers, including two children, in a car crash while over the drink-drive limit was given a two-year suspended sentence and a €200 fine in France yesterday.
Keith Bridges — formerly a senior office in a police unit that chauffeured VIPs, including members of the Royal Family — was found guilty at Bergerac Criminal Court in the Dordogne of manslaughter and reckless driving. He was also banned from driving for two years.
